Welcome!

How do cellular stresses and their signaling responses inside of cells regulate human metabolism and metabolic diseases?

The laboratory of aging, metabolism and physiology focuses on the molecular regulation of cellular stresses such as endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and mitochondrial stress during aging and aging-associated diseases (obesity, type 2 diabetes, cancer and neurodegenerative diseases). Our goal is to understand how signaling molecules and pathways inside of cells play a regulatory role to maintain metabolic homeostasis of our body.
